Coating and reconditioning of running wheels and rollers

Worn running wheels, pulleys and rollers do not have to be thrown away. We clean and prepare the original metal core and give it a new polyurethane or Vulkollan® surface. The wheel regains the performance of a new part – at a fraction of the cost and without waiting for an original.

We also manufacture brand-new wheels and rollers with a polyurethane or Vulkollan® tread. Hardness and material are chosen according to load, speed, floor or rail and operating environment.

Original wheel

Original wheel

A worn, cracked or detached tread reduces load capacity, increases noise and damages the track – while the metal core is usually still fully serviceable.

Milled wheel

Milled wheel

The old surface is milled off and the core is cleaned and prepared for perfect adhesion of the new material.

Newly reconditioned wheel

Newly reconditioned wheel

A new, firmly bonded tread machined to the required size. The wheel runs quietly, protects the track and is ready for many more years of service.

Why recondition instead of buying new wheels

Reconditioning is usually much cheaper than a new part because it reuses the original metal core. It is also a solution for older machines whose original wheels are no longer available, and a more durable material or different hardness can be chosen. At the same time you save raw materials and reduce waste.

Frequently asked questions

Which wheels and rollers do you recondition?

Running wheels of forklifts and pallet trucks, crane wheels, guide and pressure rollers, conveyor rollers and other wheels with a polyurethane or Vulkollan® surface.

Can I change the material or hardness when reconditioning?

Yes. If the original surface wore out quickly, we will recommend a more durable material such as Vulkollan® or a hardness better suited to your operation.

Have a drawing or a sample?

Send us an inquiry with a drawing, sample or description of the part. We will get back to you with a solution, a recommended material and a price.
